Moscow: Russia'slargest wind farm - Adygea - has started supplying power to the country'swholesale electricity market, the state atomic energy corporation Rosatom saidhere on Wednesday.The Adygea Wind Farm is the first completed project of NovaWindJSC, the wind energy division of Rosatom, who are the technical consultants andequipment suppliers for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) in TamilNadu. Novawind has a total capacity of 150 MW and operates 60 windturbines.Rosatom is currently implementing a programme for wind farmconstruction at four more sites in the Stavropol Kray and the Rostov region, acompany statement said. The company's'next largest wind farm, with an installedcapacity of 210 MW, will be set up in the Kochubeyevsky district of theStavropol Kray, it added. (Source:Energy World)
