CSG:China's First National Quality Inspection Center for New Power Systems Approved

The State Administration for Market Regulation has approved the establishment of the National Quality Inspection and Testing Center for Digital Sensing and Control Products in New Power Systems, to be led by CSG Electric Power Research Institute (SEPRI). The center is the first of its kind in China approved for new power system equipment.

The center, serving the national market, specializes in digital power equipment and offers open, independent and authoritative quality testing services as a third-party institution. It provides "birth certificates" and "health certificates" for equipment, facilitating the widespread adoption of digital power equipment in the new power system.

Once established within CSG, the center will concentrate on the quality control of digital equipment throughout its lifecycle and play an active role in developing national and industry standards. It will integrate new power system detection technology and quality requirements into these standards, guide technology and product development, promote the application of new technologies, and support industrial upgrading and standardized development, thus helping to ensure the country's energy security.
