Octopus Energy Plans to Build 20 Solar Power Plants in South Korea

The generation division of UK-based Octopus Energy recently announced plans to accelerate its renewable energy expansion in Asia by investing in multiple solar power plants in South Korea to enhance the country's clean electricity supply capacity. This initiative follows Octopus Energy's investments in South Korean offshore wind developer Deep Wind Ofshore and Japanese solar plant developer Shikoku Energy. The company has partnered with South Korea’s Skygreen Energy to develop up to 20 small- and medium-sized solar power plants over the next two years, with a total installed capacity of 140MW, suficient to supply clean electricity to approximately 45,000 households.
