On June 16, Xin Baoan, Chairman of Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) and President of China Electricity Council (CEC), held talks with Mr. Kerry Adler, Founder, President and CEO of SkyPower Global Group of Companies, at the GEIDCO headquarters. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on issues related to promoting global clean energy development, and green and low-carbon energy transition.
Xin Baoan welcomed Mr. Kerry Adler and his delegation and briefly introduced GEIDCO and its work. He said that SkyPower is an important member of GEIDCO. As a world-renowned large-scale solar power developer, with operations in many countries, SkyPower has made important contributions to the global energy transition.
Xin Baoan pointed out that the pace of global renewable energy development continues to accelerate. China has made remarkable progress in energy transition and has built the world’s largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system. Leveraging its expertise, GEIDCO has actively carried out think tank research, promoted GEI international standards, and released more than 100 innovative outcomes, including the Global Electricity Development Index Report and the Global Wind, Solar and Hydropower Generation Capacity Outlook 2026. SkyPower’s commitment to advancing clean development is highly aligned with GEIDCO’s mission. GEIDCO looks forward to more concrete cooperation with SkyPower, and jointly promote high-quality energy development worldwide.
Mr. Kerry Adler spoke highly of GEIDCO’s remarkable achievements over the past decade. He said that, as a long-term advocate for renewable energy development, SkyPower has always been committed to climate action and maintained a strong presence in renewable energy markets across major regions worldwide, especially in Africa. GEIDCO has significant influence in global energy governance. Cooperation between the two sides is condusive to clean and renwable industry and holds broad promise. He expressed willingness to establish a close partnership with GEIDCO, jointly unlock the potential of global clean energy development, and contribute to world energy transition and sustainable development goals.
Before the talks, Mr. Kerry Adler and his delegation visited the Global Energy Interconnection exhibition hall. Dr. Cheng Zhiqiang, Executive Secretary for Cooperation of GEIDCO, Li Baosen, Deputy Secretary General of GEIDCO, and the head of the Cooperation Bureau participated in the above activities.
