Global Energy Interconnection: Advancing Inclusive, Just and Resilient Energy Transition,5th December (Energy Day)
The 3rd Asia-Pacific Energy Week will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from October 16th to 20th, 2023. As an official event during the energy week, the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) and the Institute for Sustainable Energy Transformation Studies (ISETS), will jointly host a High-Level Forum "Connecting a Net Zero Future: Grid interconnection and Energy Collaboration in Asia Pacific."
In September 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) initiative to meet global power demand with clean and green alternatives at the UN Sustainable Development Summit, receiving extensive support and active responses from the international community. Since the launch of GEI initiative, GEIDCO has made many groundbreaking efforts in concept dissemination, innovative research, international cooperation, and project promotion, cementing major progress in GEI development.
The United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (UN HLPF) is scheduled to take place from July 10th to 19th in New York, USA. As part of the official program, a thematic-event focused on "Jointly Build a Zero-Carbon Energy System to Further Advance the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" will be held at the Conference Room C, UN Headquarters in New York on July 13th, from 18:30 pm to 20:00pm.
Launched in March 2016 with its headquarters in Beijing, China, Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of energy worldwide.
