International Water Conference （2019.5）

At the UNESCO International Water Conference co-held by the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris from May 13 to 14, GEIDCO rolled out two innovative research outcomes tofacilitating the efficient development and utilization of African hydropower resources and promoting the energy and power interconnection among Asia, Europe and Africa.

Showcase Event of GEIDCO Researches to align Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) with the Belt and Road Development（2019.4）

On the evening of April 25th, during the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (hereinafter referred to as GEIDCO) held a Showcase Event of GEIDCO Researches to align Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) with the Belt and Road Development.

GEIDCO Events at UN Environment (2019.3)

On March 9, 2019, the GEI "Action Plan for Promoting Global Environmental Protection", an innovative environmental solution, was released at the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the integration of GEI into the framework of United Nations environmental management. Chairman of GEIDCO, Liu Zhenya, attended the opening ceremony of the Science-Policy-Business Forum of the Assembly and gave a keynote speech.

GEIDCO Events at COP24 (2018.12)

From December 2-14, 2018, COP 24 took place in Katowice, Poland, hosted by the Secretariat of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the government of Poland. To promote green and low-carbon energy transition and combat climate change, GEIDCO held a thematic event with the Secretariat of UNFCCC during COP 24 and released the GEI Action Plan to Promote the Implementation of Paris Agreement.

Forum on Northeast and Southeast Asia Energy Interconnection Development (2018.10)

On October 16, 2018, Forum on Northeast and Southeast Asia Energy Interconnection Development was successfully held in Beijing. The forum called on the governments, organizations, institutions, enterprises and universities in the region to play a leading role in joint planning and research, to achieve breakthroughs in technological fields such as large-capacity submarine cables, to promote the construction of a number of clean energy and cross-border interconnection projects with high economical efficiency and good demonstration effect, so as to bring project implementation as soon as possible. Northeast Asia Energy Interconnection Planning Research Report & Energy Interconnection in ASEAN for Sustainable and Resilient Societies - Accelerating the Energy Transition were released to the world.
